I may be reading the abridged version of Richardson v. Indiana but what I got was they cannot conduct a search of a bulge if the initial traffic stop was for a seatbelt violation.

For what ever reason my PDF program wont let me save the document. But here is what I have so far.
Reference guide for encounters with responsible, licensed gun owners.
This document is intended as an aid to Law Enforcement personnel as a reference guide for encountering licensed gun...
I appreciate all the info so far! I am currently typing up a "quick reference guide" with the intent of offering it to local LEO's. If anyone is interested in helping me with it, it would be much appreciated. While I have found most of the IC codes concerning the topic any court cases, like the...
Just curious if there is any avenues for educating Law enforcement on the carry laws on Indiana WITHOUT it being considered a "confrontation"?
Two departments in my area have officers that are unaware that OC is legal with your LTCH. One even refered to the Indiana permit as a CCW.
I realize...
Nothing wrong with it at all. Just means you need to be more aware of gun safety when the kids are around. Cuz lets face it kids WILL make every effort to check out the adults new shiney! Ive lost a couple of phones that way!

I had a juvy record and even a minor arrest as an adult. It didnt keep me from purchasing a firearm or getting my LTCH. As long as it wasnt a major crime (ie Felony) than you SHOULD be OK.

Not a single flat spot on it to catch the hammer. It was almost completely rounded off. The sear had a sponge like appearance if you looked close. Possible QC missed a bad casting, a molded sandstone sear might have even worked better!
Some of you may remember I had a hammer follow issue on my new Para GI LTC. Well after a trip to the LGS for a fix it seemed to be fixed....it wasnt. Had a buddy look at it and it turns out it had a bad sear (MIM part). So instead of sending it off to Para for an undetermined amount of time I...
Mine seems to shoot a little low and left but that may be my own fault. It has never failed to go bang though.
Only problem Ive run into is finding a good holster for it. Plenty of generic styles but very few model specific ones.

He assaulted you plain and simple.
With that being said, I wasnt there and may have very well reacted in the same way initially. I certainly would have made the incident very public even after the fact. If they are making you have a background check then this guy probably wont even be asked to...
1979 Caprice Classic. Ran great for being almost as old as I was. Didnt really dig the fact it was baby blue but I could just about fit ALL my friends in there at once.

Indy Trading Post had about a dozen rentals in their case when I went there on Monday. They did have a Glock but to be honest I didnt look at the model.
Give them a call if you havnt already. Their range fee and rental fee is pretty reasonable even though you have to buy ammo from them if you...
Thanks for all the input everyone. I'll give Para a call and see what they have say.
Kinda sux having to send a brand new firearm back. At least I got to put a few rounds thru it!
Anyone ever dealt with Para's Customer service?

THe hammer falling only seems to occur if the slide is locked back and I send it forward by releasing the slide stop. Seems fine if I cycle the slide manually without letting it lock back. I can double check it with the Snap caps I have to be sure. It is a SAO and I was using Remmington UMC...
About 7 yrds out. The last target I tried to control my breathing (fire on the exhale) and did better. That may be all I need to work on but if anyone else has their suspicions by all means chime in.

Just put 100 rnds thru the new Para. I did experience several mis-feeds and the slide wouldnt lock back when the mag was empty, however the range Marshal said it was possibly just New Gun Syndrome. Said if it continues to happen after 200 rnds to have it looked at. While I was half expecting...
