I stopped by Blythes in Griffith yesterday. They had ammo! 9mm, 357, 45, 40, 223, 38 spec, and 22 in 50 rd boxes. The prices were higher than in the past and they limit to 4 boxes of 22 or 2 boxes of CF. I bought 2 boxes of 357 for $29 each.
I just bought a Ruger Lcr 357 and ordered a LaserMax for it. I am wondering if anyone has used a pocket holster with this combination? I don't think that the usual holsters will accommodate this set-up.

AMT is spoken for! I have 2 guns that I am interested in selling.
The first is an AMT .380 caliber Backup. Holds 5 in magazine and is small enough to fit in a wallet holster (included). I bought this gun new in 1987 and it has spent most of its life in the safe. I...
Residential entry suspect wounded after shooting : Merrillville
Found this in today's NW IN Times paper. A shotgun was used to prevent an intruder from entering his home!
I stopped in at Cabelas in Hammond yesterday. Lots of ammo, but no 9mm or 22 caliber. I bought 2 boxes of 45s at $23 each. They had a whole shelf full of 223s and 762s. Plenty of 38, 40, 380, 25, and some 357. Their prices seemed reasonable, more than I paid in early December, but not...
Saw this article in the NW IN Times Two charged in M'ville break-ins : Merrillville
Not sure if anyone else posted this, but I thought, here is an example of a gun owner defending herself. Good thing that she doesn't live in Chicago! Think of what could have happened!
Stopped in today. They had 45 acp Herters on sale for $22. Not much else available. NO 22 rimfire! A bit of 17 rimfire. Really the shelves are bare. The magazine isle was empty except for a few short magazines. The gun cases looked thin.
I bought some Redfire Gamo pellets for the...
I was going to file my taxes electronically again this year, but it would cost me $65! Last year Indiana footed the bill and I used Turbotax. I thought it worked, well so I tried it again. When I finished, the bill was $65. Isn't it bad enough that we must file all of this paperwork once a...
I am given a lot of thought to the gun controversy in this country. I cringe every time a gun is used to commit a crime and the media grabs it. I have written some of my thoughts down and if you gave the time, maybe you can comment. It is long, sorry.....I think a lot!

One of my favorite pass times is plinking at cans and the occasional chipmunk while sitting on my deck in Michigan. I use a Gamo .177 pellet gun. This is a powerful single pump rifle that is surprisingly accurate. I purchased it at Wally world about 7 years ago and it has never failed. A...
I was pretty excited to find this board earlier this year. Local issues. Good information. The one drawback is the requirement to have 50 posts before being able to use the classified section. I belong to lots of other boards ranging from motorcycle sport touring, motorcycle clubs, VW diesel...
I found this site when looking for places to shoot. What a great idea for instate enthusiasts! I have been shooting for 47 years. I still enjoy the sport even if the eyes aren't what they used to be:rolleyes:
I have several handguns and a couple of long guns. My latest are a Buckmark and a...
