      Nikon quit. Now what

OP has a $1k budget and wants to shoot for precision. The only answer should be: buy something that was made at LOW or Hakko Japan or by Meopta. Right now, that is: Brownells MPO, Tract Torric, Bushnell LRTS or DMR, Sig Tango6, Swfa SS HD, Meopta Optika6, Trijicon Accupower/Credo/TenMile, or...

Ditching my Serpa for something new, but what?

I'm using a Serpa currently. Only retention holster made for a SP-01. My main complaint was with the belt attachment. SUPER flimsy. Bought a Safariland belt loop and bolted it to the Serpa.....SUCCESS! Highly recommended.

Private sale and gun show "loophole" background checks on the horizon?

Opening NICS to the public or allowing people to get a yearly “I passed a background check” ID to show for purchases is the only way this works and doesn’t **** off the right wing. UBCs, Pistol brace bans, and mag capacity limits seem to be coming. I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump did to...

      2019 Fishin' thread

Literally had a small mouth jump into my canoe last weekend. I spooked him coming around a corner and he jumped right in. .....Only fish I "caught" that day. Water has been so high and muddy in the rivers here it's been not so great fishing. Excited to see the levels dropping a bit. Fish...

How low can AR's go? $300 for an AR now?

Roll pin starter punches for me. Love them.

How low can AR's go? $300 for an AR now?

There is more to a quality ar than accuracy. Sorry, but a “decent rifle” in regards to ARs does not start at $300.

      Bear Creek Arsenal

There’s a lot more knowledge of the platform there. At least they don’t shill poverty level garbage. It’s most of the reason I don’t post here anymore. There is approximately zero tech discussion worth reading on this site anymore.

      Bear Creek Arsenal

Then don't buy bear creek. They are garbage. Their parts are garbage and their company is garbage. Go on M4C or ARFcom (you know...an actual AR site)......you'll get laughed off the site for recommending their crap. On INGO, there's a solid 4 guys that shill BCA's stuff. Make no mistake...

“No firearms” signs this weekend for NRA convention

Sounds like this comes down to “knowingly” entering after reading and comprehending these signs. Just don’t read signs. And if you’re asked to leave.....leave.

      Anti-gunners say...

Recently had a discussion with someone that didn’t agree with my stances on firearms. But this one threw me for a loop. They asked what I had. I explained what I have and why I have each one. Keep in mind, I have multiple ARs, pistols, etc... The thing they were most irritated about was...

      TFB: Buying Your 1st AR-15

There's only like 2 companies that make all of the AR parts anyway. May as well buy the cheapest ones. They're all the same.

      TFB: Buying Your 1st AR-15

      1) An in spec upper does not need the face lapped for a proper fitting barrel. There's been tons of accuracy testing done, and it doesn't affect anything unless it's grossly out of spec. If you're talking about those janky Brownells face lapping tools that you chuck in a drill, just go ahead...

      Mueller report delivered

Did you read the report? There are some damning things in there. I think both sides are reading news sources or even portions of the report with an angle that suits their own personal beliefs. Nobody is being unbiased.

VLTOR A5: unobtainium? Who has it actually in stock?

BCM is good to go. Solid mil-spec or better components.

VLTOR A5: unobtainium? Who has it actually in stock?

Came to post this. If VLTOR is out of stock, BCM and Magpul make quality A5 extensions.
