When I was a teenager (about 60 yrs ago) I found a 25acp pistol in the trash can at the White castle on Indy's southside. I was afraid it might be hot so I put it back in the trash after I showed it to the friends I was with. Don't know what became of it.
Model 60's with ADR prefix were made in 1984. Information is from The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson 4th edition 2016.
ADE,ADM,ADR,ADT and ADW were the prefixes starting with letters AD used in 1984
Around 1980 if you had a license to carry a handgun you had to register your carry gun. I remember I carried a S&W model 60 and had to register it with the Bartholomew county sheriff. I don't remember if the register form looked like the one you have or not.
Prayers for you . Back in 2000 I had open heart surgery, I had mitral valve prolapse, a hole and an enlarged heart. I was born with these defects. Dr. John Brown at IU med center did the surgery. He was able to repair everything ( but the enlarged heart).
I was only in the hospital three days...
The first gun I bought was a S&W model 15 with a 2 inch barrel. I no longer have it, but one of my carry guns is a S&W model 38 J frame air weight. Often carry a S&W model 12 or model 66.
Mothers against guns were on the news last night wanting more gun laws; such as gun locks and no under 21 sales.
They seem to think a new law prohibiting gun sales to those under 21 would have prevented this and the recent school shooting by a 42 wear old.
Typical anti gun thinking. Like the statement the news person made that the law would allow anyone including a convicted felon to carry a gun and no one could do anything about it.
I had a S&W 547 9mm revolver it was a fun shooter, I wish I'd have kept it. S&W 547's have a tapered cylinder and don't need any clips etc to work properly.
