      HIGH SCHOOL -- 1957 vs. 2013

I graduated High School in 2000 and while it wasn't quite the lockdown, search and seizure prison that it is now it was definitely on the way to it. I think this is why kids go batcrap crazy in college, they've never had freedom before and to get so much, so quickly, they have no idea how to...

      Anyone use USGI surplus?

It mostly comes down to training. The guy with 50 year old crap that knows how to use it is going to outperform the guy with the latest tactical race and space crap who never trains.

The 10 Most Dangerous Cities in America

Technically, if you weight the data based on population, Detroit is Murder Capital, USA but that shouldn't really be an out for Chicago having the largest number of murders period.

      Are you a lll er?

I keep checking this darn thread hoping someone clarifies and nothing. I think that's what IIIing is, confusing people with vague questions.

The 10 Most Dangerous Cities in America

Ah, that explains why Murder Capital, USA is not listed ;)

Pothead Paradise or Road Sign Curiosity?

I wouldn't be surprised if their sign budget is about 100x that of other parks because of thievery. I think the only thing that keeps the "OH-420 Stony Ridge Rd." sign near me standing is the insanely well lit area it is placed.

The 10 Most Dangerous Cities in America

The only thing I'm surprised by is that Chicago is NOT in the top 10.

"Why do you carry a gun at home?"

While it is violent and terrible, it's nice to see it was caught on camera. Good luck with the jury when they play that tape buddy. Side note: carry a gun and LOCK THE DOOR when home. It might not stop someone, but it might buy you time to draw.

      Crossbreed Delays

I got my XBreed about 8 months ago (I had to wait about 5 weeks at that time) and during the order and ship time I switched to appendix carry. It's a great holster and I wore it to break it in but I guess my point is, it could be worse than just the wait. It could be a wait for a product you...

      wildernes Tactical belts

I've not used any of the nylon ( I have a leather "gun belt" from The Belt Man. I will say, regardless of material or color, a belt designed to support the weight of a gun makes an indescribable amount of difference in the comfort and capability of carrying a firearms.

      Anyone use USGI surplus?

If it works and you've got it, it's 100% percent better than something you DON'T have and haven't tried. There's always going to be something that MIGHT work better or more efficiently but it's always better to train with what you have that works than wait for something you're unsure about. /$0.02

      Where is your safe?

Why just one safe? :-) In all seriousness, I like concealment AND security so the in-wall or in-floor models get my recommendation.

Never Empty Double Gun or NEDG concept

What if you take FOUR Glocks and duct tape the grips together and put a dowel through the trigger guard. BOOM! Super Never Empty QUADRUPLE Gun! (SNEQG)

      Gun Sales

I was shocked when I went into my local Gander Mt. and saw boatloads of every popular firearm as well as SOME ammo on the shelf. I hope the trend continues.

      Quality or quantity?

With most things the cost of quantity equivalent to quality is usually greater. It happened with sunglasses ($5-$10 pair at least 3x a year) and I've had my Ray Bans for 5 years now. It will happen with knives and it will happen with firearms. It might be a side effect of taking better care...

      Picked up a SOG Aegis

I second the Zero Tolerance group buy option. I'm going to be picking up a ZT0350 to replace my current EDC SOG Trident that I've lovingly beaten near to death :-)

What have you done this week to prep?

Yesterday I got the ground prepped for the new raised garden beds. Today will be some fun construction. Life is better with a miter saw :-)

      Google the beast

DuckDuckGo is making a pretty big surge because of the privacy issue. They are 100% anonymous and use it as a selling point. I've not used them but if you are looking for a Google alternative they might be a good place to start.
