A minor job, Fort Wayne area?

I didn't see the email until later, and I was first reaching out to some area guys. If the problem is with a ~ $100 figure, then take it up with the webmaster/designer of the site. $45/hr labor $30 estimate $20 minimum per firearm I wasn't born yesterday. No one rounds down. Parts wise, at the...

A minor job, Fort Wayne area?

I got really impatient. I didn't get any reply for a week or more. Kustom Ballistics is close, in Decatur. The Johnson Rifle Smith shop in 'Busco was a little pricey for my liking, but I thought I had little options. It's a $309 firearm, I wasn't too keen on a $100+ fee. I'll see what Kustom...

A minor job, Fort Wayne area?

I've read the stickies on the main board about Indiana gunsmiths, but I'm having a little problem getting in contact with any nearby or active. The only response was Jerry Johnson from 'Busco. The reviews are great, I'd have to take time off from work and pay a rather handsome fee, for a minor...

      Badass Fast-Shooting Compilation

Agreed. Grand Mullet trumps tacticool beard guy. Impressive, but I find these things hilarious, especially when they introduce combat rolls and camo.

Alamo Ammo banner ad .22 ammo in stock!

The new tactic is a low cost per round, but exorbitant fees on S/H. I.e. Midway charging $18 by tacking on some "special handling" fees on top of the pricey ordinance rates.

      An Unfortunate Article

It sounds like California's short term goals. They want to tax, regulate, and license to the point where it becomes increasingly expensive and frustrating to own and train with a firearm, or to simply purchase ammunition.

S&W AR-15s Stolen from Freight Car in Chicago

Gonna agree with the commentators at the bottom, this was an inside job. Of all the trains, of all the cars, they pick one with crates of AR sporting rifles. That city is miserable enough, corrupt from top to bottom.

      More Sigs for Southpaws!

One firearm I was considering was the Zastava CZ999. It's fully ambidextrous, which is important for a lefty like me. It resembles the 226 in design, and fits in their holsters (so I read). Edit: The Zastava EZ9 was available at ZX Gun for a time, it was the same as the CZ999 line but had a rail.

      22 LR available... Finally

I haven't spotted a brick of 22LR since Sandy Hook. The only 22LR I spotted are 50 round boxes going for $5-15, but very rare to see anything under $10.

      Troy Industries Slide Action "AR-15"

A nice work-a-round for ban states. But did anyone else feel that the Troy rep felt a little disappointed himself? :) I rather go with that bizarre goose necked NY stock and keep the semi-auto functions.

Hillside's new indoor range now open to the public..

Hillside seems worth the premium. It's the closest range to me, but also the priciest. Go figure. ;-) I prefer a more relaxed setting though.

      Freedom Munitions free shipping weekend

Apologize for reviving an older topic but... $5 shipping through May 11th, no limit. Nothing beats free, but still a good deal.

      My Handgun Journey

Got out the service, was given an old Colt Frontier Scout and Marlin 99m1 that belonged to my dad. Decided I'd like to get back into the old hobby and add a conceal carry. Being familiar with the Beretta 92 I sought out Stoegger Cougars, as a compromise. Pretty much forgot about it for a while...

      MidwayUSA Appreciation

$12-15 seems to be the average. It's the new $3 special fee that irritates me more than anything. That pretty much says "price gouging" to me, since they keep the cost per round very low.

      MidwayUSA Appreciation

There was only one option yesterday. I either pay nearly $18 for a $16 box or ammo, or I didn't get it shipped. Last year they charged me $15 to ship a $37 box, that itself was ridiculous, but I couldn't find 22LR for months. They knew customers were desperate, and waited until the confirmation...

      MidwayUSA Appreciation

Yeah I saw a 325rd brick of 22LR in stock, the item was under $16, but the shipping was $17, including a $3 special processing fee. Sites like CTD rob you upfront, Midway and Natchez wait until I get my address info in, hoping I don't back out.

      What would u pick?

Century Arms C39 claims to be all American made, they have pistol and rifle versions. Anywho I'd go with an AK variant pistol with brace, while you can still get them without jumping through legal hoops.

      9mm Options

I obviously need more rounds through it, but I love the Stingray-C I picked up on Tuesday. I'm already going to be playing dress-up with it, new VZ grips, a laser/light combo attached for the night stand, etc. Edit: Can't get my days right, am I getting old?

I saw the new Walther CCP today... WOW

Is the safety ambi? The only thing I'm missing from my collection is a 9mm carry gun... unless I want to carry 2lbs of "compact" steel in the colder months.

      Stoeger Cougar

I can't add much but that the new 9mm offering now comes with an accessory rail, or one model of it does now. So that's something to look out for. I see ones with and without for sale. I did trust the Beretta 92 I was issued, and for that reason the Cougar was topping my list for a conceal...
