.357 BigBoy Brass here. My reason for getting it was that Was already setup to reload .357 and have a couple .357 revolvers, made sense. Super accurate rifle with .357, less so with most all of the .38sepcial I have tried in it.
I am a fan of Wrigleys Guns and ammo in Fort Wayne on Lima Road. Mikes a cool guy, his people that work there are always friendly and cool to take time with you. Pricing has been good and he has reloading supplies which most local LGS's don't stock. I want him to stay here.
Always carry at family events. At my own house, it's a variety of whatever I feel like, open carry full-size. Had a CZ ShadowII with the aluminum blue grips at the last family BBQ, just because. At others places, S&W BG380 or Ruger EC9S, concealed or tucked under the shirt on my belt. Pretty...
Indeed, strippers, spoons and bandoliers included. Does it make sense to tumble it (loaded ammo) in walnut media to clean up the cartridges or just call it what it is and shoot/store it?
So I went and ordered some of the Korean .30 M1 carbine surplus ammo from BulkAmmo.com. What showed up was a beat up rusty ammo can with 1080 rounds of Lake City LC 69 in a LC ammo can. I shot 10 rounds to check for function, no problems. My question is, did I stumble onto something good with...
Our prep/disaster group bought into the Baofeng UV5R radio's and one of our guys set up all the presets for them. So far they have been solid little radios for not a lot of cash. NOT waterproof though. They are on Amazon, I think the have a newer version now that goes up to 8 watts for the guy...
Thanks all, I figured it wasn't a major deal but just wanted to be safe than sorry with a nearly 70 year old rifle. The primer was not punctured on the fired cases he gave me, found those right after I posted this so I am assuming the pin is fine.
Check out the the new Sportsmans Warehouse in Fort Wayne, its on Illinois road where the old Staples used to be, by the Lowes. They have a pretty good Mountain House selection and there is no sales tax so it makes it pretty close to Amazon pricing. I just grabbed 20 bags and it came out to be...
Just picked up a "numbers matching" 91/30 Mosin Nagant in nice shape. I know the previous owner had shot it before. Is it nesc. to run a headspace gauge in it or once its good, is it good?
IF I do need to check it, does anyone in the area around Columbia City have a set of OKIE gauges that I...
After finding so-so reports going both ways about the Malaysian surplus 7.62 and the M1a, I figured I would try it and report for the next guy.
So the good news, I ran 40 rounds that came packed in the .50 cal ammo cans through my new Springfield M1a standard and all fired reliably and ejected...
Nice collections!
I started mine a few years back, currently sitting at:
1945 Springfield M1 Garand
1945 Springfield 1903a3
1944 Inland M1 carbine
1930's Russian Mosin
My next additions will be a 1917 and Enfield.
Anyone have one of these for over a year with some regular use? Curious how it has held up and if you still like it. As I have gotten older the red dots smear due to the astigmatism, the etched glass looked promising as I was checking it out.
Congrats! My father in law won 3 years in a row. He then invited me the last two years and neither of has won anything. He thinks I am bad luck. figures....
Howdy all, long time lurker here. Getting back into the shooting sports, hope to be around more often!
So, just got my SAM7-SF, sold off a couple of cheaper AK's to get into it. Love it, for the most part.
However, the reviews I read all praised the trigger as being a smooth trigger, clean...
