      Thx. Definitely watching the forecast. Fri nite steel, saturday morning pins and steel at Wildcat Valley sunday. It's a chance to shoot a bunch if the weather cooperates. Thursday morning is the decision point with motel reservations for friday and saturday nites..

      Fingers crossed watching the weather. Fri Nite Steel and Saturday Morning Pins align again. Will bring a .22 revolver, S&W617, for pin heads this time.

      Doing that reminds me why I put the red dots on. My red dot guns get shot. My iron sight guns seem to stay in their cases. Old eyes to go with all the other "old" ailments...

      Don't know how you figure that. 6 stages x 5 strings with a max of 11 rds per string. If you miss enough to shoot all 11 rds EVERY string that's 330 rds. If all 6 stages had 7 plates it would be 210 rds minimum. For me, that's not worth making a 600 mile round trip and spending a night in a...

      So, we're NOT shooting each stage with pistol AND rifle? We're shooting 3 stages with pistol only and 3 stages with rifle only? I need to know as that scenario is not worth driving down to shoot. Sounds like I need to cancel a motel reservation.

      Definitely!!! It was good fun. Wish I got to do it more often. Edit: Looks like I can do it again. Aug 24 -25 works with Fri Nite Steel and Saturday morning Bowling Pins and nothing else on my schedule. See ya then hopefully. Definitely last chance this year.

      It was a fun match. It's the first time I'd shot a steel match with this many plates. The way the falling plates are hinged made reset between shooters easy. Painting took more time than resetting targets. See ya for the July match.
