Hart adjustable rifle rest and Protektor bags - in excellent shape. Rest adjusts vertically and for windage. Also have the forward stop. Both bags were filled with the dense, small grain size sand specifically for the bags. This model is comparable to the "Comp 2" model on Hart's website. The...

I try to stay out of some of the forum discussion on political candidates, but not when it comes to the 2nd Amendment. Full disclosure, I have known all three sheriff candidates for over 20-years.
Jason Dombkowski made a passionate statement during the debate about how he was a staunch...
I thought I would share some of the frustration of getting new equipment... I purchased a new horizontal/vertical rotary table to make machining slides easier for RMR's and other red dots. I follow the manufacturer's directions and fill the unit will oil until I can see it in the oil level...
I was only getting one of the two hooks of a brand new, $70 hammer to engage a freshly cut 1911 sear. Knowing that the sear was done well, I knew I had to correct the hammer on the mill. Full disclosure, I was being a bit lazy and was hoping to get lucky. I have only had ONE hammer work right...

Did a bunch of checkering in November... Here is a short video of cutting the verticals.

Machined some front cocking serrations. Will be checkering the frames as well. Couple different placement requests for the serrations. Carbon steel slides will get Cerakote. Stainless steel slide will be bead blasted and cleaned up.
Had a rear sight blade that was initially serrated, but the serrations were sanded smooth. The pistol's owner wanted serrations re-cut. The rear sight blade had a radius from hand sanding and had to be machined flat before the serrations could be cut. Lines per inch was about 47'ish...
I have a 2011 that I am building along with the 1911 and thought that I would post these pics as well in a separate thread instead of combining the 2011 pics with the 1911...
I have already cut the frame rails on the milling machine. I am now fitting the slide and frame together. From this...
I have installed a few of these lately. It is a "gas pedal" from GoGuns. Not something to put on your favorite EDC, but great for competition pistols. Helps to leverage against the muzzle climb and keep the pistol running flat. I have to admit, I love drilling and tapping with good drills and...
Starting another full 1911 build for a gentlemen. Certain parts are chosen by the future owner for their particular style, such as the flat trigger and slightly retro hammer. The rest are from a short list of high quality components. Nearly every part will need to be either machined or hand...
Had to replace a front sight for a iron sighted Bianchi 1911. Owner wanted a .075" wide front sight. It was quicker to make one than order one.
Thank you!

I had this gun in the shop a few weeks ago and replaced all of the fire control parts. All of the parts were properly prepped and a really nice, 2-pound trigger was the result. Owner of the Range Officer decided to add some customization and brought the pistol back to be machined.
First step...
