      Indiana Bayonet Laws?

Evening, all. Hopefully this is fairly in and out. I'm building a retro M16A1, and I'd like to add a bayonet to it. As far as I'm aware, there's no laws governing bayonets, but I thought it would be wise to double check. A rifle I already own does have a bayonet lug on it, if that's any help...

      Any good?

Thanks for all of the input. I think I've got a good bit to work with, and from the time between now and next year, I need to spend some time feeling them in person. You only get so much from the spec sheet.

      Any good?

sgreen3: Nice reviews, I'll have to keep them in mind when it comes time to make a serious decision. Spear Dane: I don't have to have a 308, that just so happens to be what the rifle I linked to was chambered for. I'd be just as happy with 30-06 or grendel. Usually I'm very caliber-picky, but...

      Any good?

As far as a budget goes, I don't want to spend more than 900. I wouldn't be doing anything serious with it, nor would I be trusting my life to it either. As far as caliber goes, I'm really not picky. The only criteria I have is that I can easily find it and that it cost less than $2 per round...

      Any good?

In 2018, I'm looking at buying a big bore bolt action rifle. This one just so happens to be .308. Not a hunter, just a weekend paper puncher. Looked up some reviews on the Remington 700 VTR in SS but could only find articles from '09 or '10 if I was lucky. 7 years ago, this rifle didn't seem to...

Gander Mountain closing ALL stores discussion

Stopped in today at the Evansville location. A pathetic 5% off firearms. Still overpriced! Unless I get an email that says 15% off or more, I'm going to stop wasting my gas and just buy the gun I want at Rural King and reward the business that was cheap to start with. Not going to miss you, Gander!

      Revolver Barrel Length

I'll look into 'em sometime today. Thanks. @Jmarriott: I am unable to respond to your PM due to my low post count. Not ignoring you, lol.

      Revolver Barrel Length

S&W and others like 'em do make very nice revolvers, but are a tad rich for my blood; at least in a target shooting role. Maybe someday I'll grab a gently used model.... Hadn't heard of Rossi before, and I can easily say that after finding them, I'm more interested in it than the other two...

      Revolver Barrel Length

Sometime this winter, I'm contemplating getting myself a revolver after I get my coveted 1911 this July. The revolver in question is intended only to be used as a range toy, maybe a little pest control with those fancy shot shells once in a great while. In other words, nothing serious. Both...

Gander Mountain closing ALL stores discussion

Not a surprise. I love their selection, but it always rubbed me wrong how they are priced so much higher than other places. Was in there today, and the signs mentioned (same location as shooter six) 10-30 percent off store wide....no asterisk. I always loved how they'd 'go on sale' but exclude...
