I would say that any time you cant list them all off the top of your head, or occasionally find ones you forgot you owned, you have a (small) collection. Although if your memory is like mine, that could be any number larger than 6 :n00b:.
The difference between small collection and large...
My home setup is a two-stage similar to several here. EDC glock 19 in a bedside holster that is mounted for a quick draw in a seated position. Then for a far away bump, or S(really)HTF there is a suppressed 300BO in a concealed - quick access headboard safe.
The G19 is loaded with Hornady...
For "good" quality at bargain price, its worth a look at Aero Precision.
They are not custom grade tack drivers, but those guys have a large legitimate outfit with some serious dollars in machinery and R-D in Washington and IMHO make the best bulk produced rifles of anyone.
No I don't own...
A Double Alpha belt and one of their PDR PRO 2 holsters would run about $120 and hold the gun lower and out from the body. Huge help from one muffin top to another.
If you are going to run a drop and offset holsters, a good stiff competition belt is almost going to be required or its going to...
I agree, I don't intend to paint the entire brand in an ugly light. I think in general CZ has some of the highest quality of any manufacturer at their price point. There is a reason that half the guns at long range rimfire competitions are CZs.
I just think that the 75 series has become dated...
I have had a love-hate relationship with my CZ, it is an SP-01 Tactical Suppressor Ready. I think half of my issues with the gun come from it being the suppressor ready model, but either way there are some "issues" with the gun.
The factory night sights are decently bright, but shot very high...
Walther CCP M2; took almost 1000 rounds before it would run 100% on the 8rd mag, slide lock was never consistent, and the magazines loved to fall out if you didn't absolutely hammer them in, especially the shorty 6rd. Even after 1000 rounds the 6 and 7 round magazines would consistently bugger...
Had a SW Victory 22 that I could neither get to group or run well. Every other mag would have some sort of jam and the adjustable sights couldn't even be adjusted high enough to be on at 25 yards. Tried a dozen different rounds (lapua, eley, CCI) nothing would group out of the thing. I didn't...
Never owned one, and this is likely to start a fight, but of all the jams/malfunctions I have seen at competition, 80 or 90% came from a 1911 and at least half of those troublesome 1911s were Kimbers. I love me a 1911 as much as the next guy, but them purty Kimbers run like crap...
Yep I shoot a fair bit of outdoor matches in the summer. I agree its generally more fun (quieter and smaller squads) than indoors, until its 98F and 100% humidity, then indoors isn't so bad.
I understand it takes a ton of work to setup the matches, and coach does do a stellar job. But I would...
I will be there, but likely part of the "5pm is a bit early" crew. Half hour drive from a job that ends at 5 puts me there at 5:30 most days.
Also I would be one interested in a PCC day! Or run it like the last "bowling pin (texas star)" tournament where PCC just has to shoot an extra steel...
