      My counterfeit trench gun project

Well, you are a master if you have a Dremmel! No, really, you are doing great work there. I love the vision.

      Neat old rifle...

That is sweet. Deluxing back in the 1800"s!

      Neat old rifle...

You can see why I was puzzled when the net was showing the newer slider.

Yes, that is the revised version, what I call an umbrella slider. The flares hit the receiver and slide it back to allow the shells to pass. With the others the metal block has a small spring steel detent in a grove to provide the same action.

      HAVE YOU EVER?

Guilty as charged, sir. I sold my '03 but still have a 1917. Oh, and you will need both a carbine and a rifle version of the trap door. (Ask me how I know...)

      HAVE YOU EVER?

I got rid of my PSL, it couldn't hit the floor with it's hat. It was brand new and shipped from the factory and you would think you couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle when you shot the thing. I hope you have better luck than I did, I haven't shot any others for comparison nor did...

      Ya, him... lol.

      Neat old rifle...

A squirrel'n piece that is heavier than a M1 Garand! I think most modern automobiles have less metal in them than this thing. They were the first .22's that offered multiple shots, and it held enough so you can shoot until you are tired of carrying it.

      Neat old rifle...

if your tube doesn't have a spring detent that goes on the bottom from the knurled follower I will make you one when I make mine so the shells will not slide out of the loaded inner tube while loading back into the outer mag tube. The inner slider ( with the screw ) has about a 1cm track to...

      Neat old rifle...

It sounds simple, but what will it be like tomorrow when I forget?

      Neat old rifle...

My research has shown me there should be a flat spring steel detent in the bottom grove to the inner glider (with the screw in it) from jcj54's pic. Apparently the "newer ones" had a sliding collar made out of spring steel. Thanks for the pics, I have a handle on it now. This one was made in...

      Neat old rifle...

I start off by saying I will post pics soon. I am currently working on a Winchester 1873 in .22 short. They only made 19,000 over a 20 year span in .22 (1882 to 1902) and I would guess very few in the short configuration. It has the same size octagonal barrel as the larger calibers but with...

      HAVE YOU EVER?

I fell like Rumpelstiltskin after he just woke up, is this a bad thing now?

Anyone have a scoped K-31 Swiss

I use the diopter sights on the K31 and they are sweet, pricey but sweet.

      Gun Stock

Wrong end of the state from me but there are plenty of how to's on the internet. I have a plethora of walnut in the barn that is drying but no way to help you out, sorry. You do know that nobody can make just one, don't you? I hope you get your help.

Convicted For Building Guns; Judge says, “Do not bring the Second Amendment into this courtroom”

Yes, he will prevail in the end, but the left's job is done. His life as guaranteed by the constitution is ruined. That is the message they wish to send out, not that he did or even intended evil deeds with the firearms but was guilty of simply being associated to these evil things. The left...

      A5 early 16 ga barrel

Thanks again, I plan on getting this one up and running for rabbit season this year. It is the same age as my brother! Maybe I can get him to carry it for me...

      A5 early 16 ga barrel

Thanks! But now it gets interesting. I was always told the Sweet Sixteen is to 16ga what Light Twelve is to 12ga. This one is not an alloy receiver, but steel. I am beginning to think I am getting senile...

      A5 early 16 ga barrel

You just got me reinterested in my Sweet Sixteen and I can't date the durn thing! It says "Sweet Sixteen" on the receiver but the serial is "A" over "9700". That doesn't match any date code chart I have found. It is an older 'round knob' stock and Belgian made. It came with a 26" IM/Mod and a...
