      7mm-08 is awesome if you handload. 130-175gr loads with mild to heavy recoil.

      Worst Handgun

      Remington 700 CLASSIC 7MM-08 , beautiful, beautiful rifle, shot horrible. bedded the action, free floated the barrel, never found a load it liked. never below a 2" group. was happy to end the suffering and sell it.

      What should I advise my brother?

      If he is not a shooter then a 357 revolver with 38 specials would be a good choice. Anything with more recoil or a semi auto would create problems.
