WTS: Traditions Outfitter G2 .357 Magnum

Deer season is coming and it seems like a good time to clean out the safe of something I have not shot for quite a while. As the title says, Outfitter G2 in .357 Magnum. It is the package model that includes a gun case and 3-9x40 scope with rings and all that. It is a good rifle, extremely...

      Frankford Arsenal M-Press, $122 shipped

They say that. I ordered on the 18th and it is scheduled to be delivered on Saturday. YMMV.

I don't know? Can you? Do you think it is going to make any difference if you type in all caps or bold or something else? Different people have different priorities than you do. Deal with it.

      Frankford Arsenal M-Press, $122 shipped

That was actually my thread. And it wasn't one phone call, it was one email. :) They also have yet to ship the parts. But anyway. I have had issues with Frankford Arsenal/Battenfeld Technologies products before. They were resolved just as speedily. I had an issue with my Intellidropper...

      Frankford Arsenal M-Press, $122 shipped

I also like to support American made products, but I am also in the "Sometimes price wins" camp. I also think it is important to keep in mind that they are not "ripping off" the Co-Ax. Those patents are expired. Now anyone can produce designs using those elements and that is a good thing...

      Frankford Arsenal M-Press, $122 shipped

It has been done. Sort of. At least in regards to how it matters for reloading: https://ultimatereloader.com/2019/04/08/fourteen-reloading-presses-compared-single-stage-shootout/https://ultimatereloader.com/2019/04/08/fourteen-reloading-presses-compared-single-stage-shootout/ Ultimate Shill...

Hopefully you got it before the price went up. I looked earlier and it had went up to $199 today.

      A few experiments

I thought I was doing that. It seems I might be going too slow and steady. :)

      A few experiments

Seems I need to work on my turret press technique. For another data point I loaded some ammo on my 550 while waiting on parts for the LnL. I was running pretty much exactly 15 minutes per 100 rounds and that was across 9mm, .40 and .45ACP, all ran around the same amount of time.

Make Ammo Great Again from Federal

Meh. That particular ammo sells for ~$25/box. The crate includes 4 boxes. So if one were inclined to purchase that ammo you're getting the crate for about $30. On the other hand, if you bought that and then shot the ammo you're ruining the collector potential for it in the future, so it's...

      A few experiments

It all depends on what a person is loading. Sometimes you want to spend some time listening to an audiobook or an interesting commentator while taking your time loading some precision, experimental or special purpose rounds. Sometimes you want to load bulk rounds for plinking or competition...

      A few experiments

Have you ever actually timed that, or is that a seats of the pants sort of guesstimate? I ask because I actually timed that and I was not wasting any time as I was loading. I'm not saying that gains could not be made, but I wasn't exactly letting grass grow under my press either.

      A few experiments

Oh, and with the LnL I said I started with an empty primer tube but forgot to mention that I used a Frankford Arsenal vibratory primer filler and not a primer flip tray.

      Frankford Arsenal M-Press, $122 shipped

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KT8K18H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_t3kgFb58QRKYJ The price has dropped significantly on the Forster Co-Ax clone. They were $250-$300 about a year ago.

      A few experiments

The LnL was 9mm, the other two times .45ACP. As for prep, the cases were all deprimed and cleaned beforehand, but I went ahead and went through all of the motions regardless. All of the cases were run through a resizing die in those times. I did glance at each case head before putting it in...

      A few experiments

Right before my LnL decided to crash and burn I ran a quick test. Starting with cases and bullets loaded in to the feeders but with empty primer tubes I loaded a primer tube and ran 100 rounds. 5:20 Not too bad. Roughly speaking 1,000 rounds per hour at a steady pace. Since I have time due...

Anyone have eyes on small pistol primers?

I suggest you get to know the guy that owns your local reloading shop. Right now they are only allowed to order a very limited amount. Last I heard CCI was only letting each smaller dealer order something like 20K primers at a time. Don't quote me on that number, but I remember thinking that...

      Well, that's not ideal.....

Hornady is sending out the parts I asked for, no questions asked. It is what they have always done when I needed anything. I'm thinking that the LnL probably wasn't made for the kind of usage that I have put it through. I purchased it a year and a half ago and have run well over 40,000 rounds...

      Well, that's not ideal.....

I've dealt with them before and have no doubt that they will make it right. When I bought the press it was used and some parts were missing and Hornady sent out the parts needed at no cost. Even if they don't cover it I wouldn't be too upset. It's run more than 50,000 rounds and has been...
