WTS: Traditions Outfitter G2 .357 Magnum

Deer season is coming and it seems like a good time to clean out the safe of something I have not shot for quite a while. As the title says, Outfitter G2 in .357 Magnum. It is the package model that includes a gun case and 3-9x40 scope with rings and all that. It is a good rifle, extremely...

      A few experiments

Right before my LnL decided to crash and burn I ran a quick test. Starting with cases and bullets loaded in to the feeders but with empty primer tubes I loaded a primer tube and ran 100 rounds. 5:20 Not too bad. Roughly speaking 1,000 rounds per hour at a steady pace. Since I have time due...

      Well, that's not ideal.....

It happened today loading 9mm. I sent an email to Hornady support. I don't expect a quick response due to Chinese Lung AIDS and all that, but I guess we will see. Thankfully I have an addiction to reloading equipment so I can still use my 550B, Lyman turret, Lee turret, various single...

      DIY decapping pins

I was going through some reloading stuff the other day and I found a set of .45ACP Redding dies that I picked up in a package deal a while back. I used it for a while until one day I broke the decapping pin and did not have a replacement so I grabbed a resizing die from my Lee set and swapped...

      Trigger job on oddball firearm

Last week I took delivery of a Traditions Outfitter G2 in .357 Magnum. I love the rifle so far, but the trigger is heavy for my tastes. It registers at 7-7.5lb and I would like to cut that roughly in half. Can anyone recommend a gunsmith that would be willing to take it on? I already PM'd...

      Ammo storage question

Does anyone have experience with these? https://www.mtmcase-gard.com/products/shooting/ammo-can-combo.php The price seems reasonable but I would like to be able to handle them for myself before purchasing but I cannot find them anywhere local. Has anyone here used them? What are your...

      AR SBR question

When you file a Form 1 with the ATF for a short-barreled AR, is it just the lower that is registered? In other words, could you have one registered SBR lower and swap various uppers on to that? Or would you need a tax stamp on each configuration or upper?

Need help identifying a firearm from my childhood

If anyone would be willing to help, there is a .22 bolt action rifle I had as a child that was stolen in a burglary before I was a teenager. It was a bolt action with a tubular magazine and the one really unique thing I remember about it was that it had unusual front sights. There were...
