I talked with one of the owners last night. I was not nearly as prepared as I'd have liked to have been, given that the manager stopped communicating with me. I'd have rehearsed more mentally.
However, she was very polite and respectful. I started with telling her that I respect their rights as...
I know they'd never know. When a business has a sign and I happen to see it, I ignore it. When I'm verbally approached by a representative of the business, I respect their policy no matter how much I disagree with it. Disrespecting them gets me nor us anywhere.
They have the right as a property...
My holster is already very concealable, I just choose not to give a **** if the grip comes uncovered every once in a while.
I have no intention of disrespecting them or their policy, which they have every right to have.
Her latest reply:
Looks like this is going nowhere. I'll track her down on Friday to let her know at least that when this league is over, I'm done with their location. I'd stop going now if my team wouldn't suffer for my beliefs.
I should have mentioned this in the OP, I will leave it in the car until the end of my league. It's certainly their right to have this policy in place, and I have no intention of disrespecting that. I legitimately wasn't aware of the policy until last Friday. Mentioning the amount of revenue...
Location is in the first post already. I'll decide about #3 when I'm meeting with her and how the conversation is going. I'm not expecting it to make a difference, I just want them to know what effects their policy choices have that they might not be aware of.
I bowl in a league, and just like everywhere else I go (where it's legal to), I carry (semi-concealed - IWB holster, but shirt isn't tucked, sometimes shows a little.)
So, this past Friday one of the manager's of my bowling alley - Cooper's Sport Bowl in Anderson - came up to me after bowling...
I use a Crossbreed Supertuck to carry my XD. Only problem I'm having is that the muzzle end of the pistol is not covered, so the metal rubs on my pants and is wearing holes. What I'd like to do is rivet a piece of leather over the muzzle opening of the Kydex part so that there's a barrier...
Voyager - none with a wave like feature.
No knife I get will be used for anything but cutting. The swisstool will still be carried. I'm really down to the two choices I listed above, unless somebody can point me to something from crkt.
Kershaw - I don't see anything like the Emerson Wave feature on anything they sell. (Learned what that was called today.) I do like the prices though!
Cold Steel - The Ti-lite is in the running for sure, even though it doesn't have partial serration. Anybody have experience with their "Zytel"...
