Are the .40 browning or FN hi-powers strong enough to increas the recoil spring weight and ream the chamber for 10mm?

Then shoot the 10mm of course :):

You making a single shot BHP? 10mm's are too long to fit a 40 S&W mag! unless it is a Para P16 - 40 because they were designed to be 10mm pistols and Para never blocked the mag to 40 OAL.

To answer the OP question I doubt the BHP can handle a full power 10mm anyway.

Not too sure the barrel could handle the extra pressure or the magazine handle the extra length round.

Only if you're a navy seal... Oh wait that's sig.

If you're looking for a 10mm offering with a BHP feel, they make CZ style guns like the EAA witness in 10, might be worth a look

I have a Para 16-40 LDA I could part with if you're looking for a project gun. I have no idea if it would explode upon use of a 10mm round or not.

I have a Glock 20 and it does just fine for 10mm
