2 new arrivals

Had a trade to complete and also received the call from SniperCo that my rifle was in. Got to pick up both in the same day.
The trade (thanks INGO ) netted me the 24" upper with a stripped lower and parts kit. I already had the wood pistol grip and A2 stock with buffer, spring & tube, so assembled the rifle complete last night. Need to pick up a Burris PEPR for it.
Bottom is my new Savage 11 308 Hog Hunter. Took off the iron sights as I wanted to scope it and attached a birdcage flashhider. Both will probably get new glass over the next year, but I already had these two scopes sitting around unused.

That is the first wood furniture on an AR I've seen. Kinda diggin' it.

how did you remove the front iron sight on the savage? i have heard that you couldn't take it off.
