Been fighting a rat problem in my chicken coup since horse people next door cleaned out their barn, so far killed about 50 of them thanks to my rat killing rig, shooting federal .22 rat shot, High Standard 9 shot and Colt peacemaker 22 6 shot, gives me 15 rd before reload

My most used/carried firearms are my .22 revolver. Killed groundhogs, coons, squirrels, etc.

I have to agree OP, with my 3 kids and I we've put more rounds through my pair of 6 1/2 in heritages than anything else lately. Fun, handy, and useful!

Growing up agricultural, rats are a problem if you have animal feed. Horses are sloppy so grain gets on the ground, can't speak for chickens though, they might clean up every nibble.

We have a opossum problem here. We dispatched our 7th last night. I had no idea there was that many helping themselves to our feed. Taurus TX22 and Federal 40gr AutoMatch.

It's the chipmunk gangs around here that have become problematic. My S&W Kit Gun has been called to duty.

I was after a groundhog last fall. Never got him and have not seen him out yet this year. Had the revolver handy every time I went outside.
