Thinking about doing 3 Gun in the future. Already have the pistol and shotgun for heavy metal, so it seems like the best division for me. I don't own anything in 308, so I was wondering if their were any calibers that fit an AR15 lower than are legal for HM? Was thinking something along the lines of 458, 6.5, ect. I would rather invest the money on a good upper, than get a lesser quality upper so that I can afford an AR10 lower.

I don't believe so. I believe even 300BLK doesn't meet the requirements as most rules (including INMG) say .308 Winchester or larger. I've never been a fan of the ambiguity of the "or larger" terminology when it comes to caliber definition. I do know Daniel Horner won USPSA Multigun Nationals a few years ago running 300BLK, but that was different...

Another option Would be to just shoot limited or tac and deal with the slight handicap of a pump gun and whatever pistol you have.
