30-30 henry jammed

My son in law is bringing me his Henry to look at- lever stuck in the down position, live round stuck on its way to the chamber- I've had this issue with marlins, usually fixed by removing the lever, frees everything up- are Henry's pretty similar?

Henrys are very similar. If you find that it isn't an issue with out of spec ammo, call Henry and they will get you taken care of. They have very good customer service.

I a similar issue with one of my Henry's. It would jam on the last round from the mag tube. It turned out to be the mag follower was catching on the lift gate. I could remove the mag and then I could cycle the lever. I called Henry and they sent me out a new mag with no questions asked.

Not sure if your issue is the exact same. As Midget said, Henry has excellent CS. Give them a call.

Thanks for the advice- sounds like a call to the good folks at Henry would be time well spent, before digging into the thing.

I had to send a Big Boy back twice for this. They ended up send a new gun the second time.
