Whats the best 32 revolver to buy? I have multiple 38s and 357s but thinking of picking something up with a little less recoil for plinking.

    Thanks

I have a pocket revolver that shoots 32 rimfire longs & shorts.
I have 32 longs with 90gr. lead round nose bullets....
the recoil is rather sharp cause the 5-shot revolver is really small & light.

great fun...ammo is hard to get but I have plenty from new brazil stuff made around 1990.

The Colt Pocket Positive in 32 NP or a S&W 1903. While I'm primarily a Colt collector, the 1903 is definitely the best value going. Here's two 1903s framing a larger 45 caliber HE.

Look into the .327 Federal Magnum offerings. Super light plinkers with Long ammo but yet the full house .327 is a serious player.

I haven't had any luck finding any at the gun shows here lately or even at gun shops. They're either way too old or too expensive.

I would get a Ruger in .327 mag. It will shoot .32 short, .32 Long, .32 H&R Mag, and .327 mag. The GP 100 and 101 are heavy guns. The Ruger Single Six in .32 H&R are hard to find and have a high price tag. The S&W 1903 and Colt New Police in .32 S&W are fun guns to shoot but you do have some recoil as they are light weight.

    I have a Taurus snub-nose (2" barrel) .327 Fed/mag, and a Ruger SP101 with a 4" barrel in .327fed/mag.
Both spit out anything I feed them, including .32shorts, longs, H&R mags, .327's...

Fun little guns to be sure.
Loading for the .32short/longs is dirt cheap once you have some cases.

The Ruger GP100 and SP101. Great fun to mess with a new shooter - talk up the .327 Magnum power, load it with 32 short or long while they're not looking, then watch their face as they shoot it. They think it's a magic gun, all that power but recoil like a .22!!

yea, no one likes me on the family range.

Since its going to be a plinker I'd just skip the 32 altogether and get a 22. There's some good 22 revolvers out there that are inexpensive, and even with the current shortages ammo is still the cheapest per round.

I'll second that. Ruger Wrangler at $225, Heritage Arms Rough Rider at $139-$189.
