Just got my IOR 6-24x50 replaced and got an IOR 3-18x42 FFP to replace it. Great scope clear glass. The only thing is now I need to locate a 35mm lapping bar. I found one online but do not want to pay $125 for it. Anyone willing to lend me one? Does anyone know a gun shop/gun smith that has one. I called several places and none of them had one? I live in the Greenwood area, but Elmore's does not have a 35mm lapping bar.

i don have one for 35mm, but what kind of rings are you putting it in. in my limited experiance cheapo rings need lapped but high quality rings (uso, badger, nf, etc) do not. im assuming if you buy a scope like that you are not buying 25 dollar rings (if cheap 35mm rings exist:dunno:)

The bases and rings are of good quality. I know I probably don’t need to lap them, but I just wanted to for good measure. If I can’t find a bar I won’t worry about it.
