Looking for advice on how the reduce the rim size on the .414 Super Mag cartridge by 0.037" to get to the correct diameter for the .401 WSL. I'm looking to load about 200 rounds and I don't anticipate doing this more than once, so I'm not looking to invest a ton into a setup to do this. I was thinking that I could use a drill press and emery cloth but getting a setup that will give consistent results may be iffy.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks.

Finally got the time to do the work of converting .414 Super Mag to .401 WSL. Doing 200 cases took some time. Reducing the rim diameter and trimming to length took about 12 hours for two of us. More than pleased with the end result. Functions perfectly in the rifle. Feels good to take a 70+ year old rifle from a wall hanger to a fully functional firearm. Shoots easy and accurate. Plan to use it deer hunting this year.
