I have Marlin 1984 model. I shot the 44 FTX from lever revolution. The were great. (micro barrel too) Was a hole in hole at 25 yds. (20 Rds) Then use my reloads and they were:
Best powder was Tightgroup 9 grs. Winchester cases, Winchester Mag primers.
They cronograph at 1700 fps average. They were cloverleaf also. Tried many powders, such as WST, bullseye, HP-38, W231, and few others. The Titegroup was very consistent and not to much recoil.
