My favorite powder for 6.5 Grendel is by far AR Comp always gets fantastic SDs and its super temperature stable. I am really bad at keeping track of targets or taking pictures with enough information in them to really be useful but my hunting load isaa 123 SST w/ 28.0 Gr of AR comp which in my notebook I have written down as 2441 FPS average 5.54 SD group size 0.63" (22” barrel). I looked around for a picture of grendel groups and I couldn’t find much. I have a couple pictures but I have no Idea what bullet I was shooting but charge weights are on the target… I have also had good luck with 8208 XBR and Varget but I wasn't super happy with the velocity. I have not shot anything lighter than 123gr in my Grendel's.
Brownells just listed some for around $53 a lbAR Comp is in stock at Powder Valley

There's no 6ARC brass anywhere (just loaded ammo) and 6.5 Grendel brass is a one-die conversion (unlike 220 russian which I think requires fire forming). It's making me really hesitant about either cartridge as the basis of a bolt action right now, even though there's some killer deals on Howa Mini's in 6.5 and ARCReally like the round, but can we talk about how it's like looking for hen's teeth right now?

I have a Howa 1500 6.5 Grendel bedded in an American Built Arms (ABA) chassis. There's no 6ARC brass anywhere (just loaded ammo) and 6.5 Grendel brass is a one-die conversion (unlike 220 russian which I think requires fire forming). You can also fire form boxer primed 7.62x39 to 6.5 Grendel. You have to trim a bit and then fire form, but it’s not unbearable. I probably have 3-400 7.62x39 that I’ve formed to 6.5 Grendel. I haven’t seen any appreciable accuracy difference between that brass and my Hornady brass.Really like the round, but can we talk about how it's like looking for hen's teeth right now?
Just do what I did for awhile. Buy a box or two a month, buy once fired brass as you see it for a good price. It's a slower process but you'll get stocked up on it in time. Then when you see a case or two on sale grab it.There's no 6ARC brass anywhere (just loaded ammo) and 6.5 Grendel brass is a one-die conversion (unlike 220 russian which I think requires fire forming). Graf and Sons has PPU brass in stock. I just picked up 500 pieces and some Redding dies… let the fun begin!Just do what I did for awhile.
