Why is there a bigger demand and price tag on the 6920? I have a couple ,but I prefer the 6921,because it seems like the barrel would be more durable.Done an internet search for the 6920 and several sites had them for around 1500.00 to 1700. One even had them for over 2000.
there was a couple sites that had them listed for 1200,but they were sold out,and they have been for months. Just curious why the M4 is more popular.

IIRC a 6921 is the same as a 6920 except for the barrel length. most people don't want to bother with the tax stamp for the SBR (or are not allowed to own them), so the 6920 is more popular by default.

as for the prices, Colt now sells the SP6920 and the LE6920. The SP is about 1100 give or take and the LE is now more like 1200-1300 (stupid i know). They are the same gun with different markings. I bought my LE6920 two years ago during the hysteria for about $1200, which wasnt bad at the time. some people still price gouge. Long after the hysteria died down, Bradis was selling a LE6920 for $1600.

if you meant 6721 (as the topic reads), it's probably for a few reasons:

    1) people want .mil specs. so the heavy barrel and 1/9 twist are out.
    a) the 6920/6921 is the closest to the M4 TDP minus the FCG
    2) heavy barrels are heavy and people don't like heavy carbines
    3) H-Bars are more common on 20 inch competition guns. Carbines seem to be more about SHTF.

all of the above is complete conjecture on my part.

If the rifle is going to have a ton of rounds shot through it with 55 grain ammo there is going to be less wear on the 1/9 barrel on the 6721 (theoretically) vs. a 6920 1/7".
Also the heavy barrel will be more accurate than the m4 profile barrel.
