Went to the Sugar Ridge gun range in Pike County today. I was happy to see they now had their 7 and 10 yr ranges open so I took my pistols and went shooting. A few observations.

There is a sign that says handguns only beyond this point. This means no long guns are allowed even if they are in cases in a wagon. Watched one guy go put his rifles in his vehicle.

Pistol caliber carbines are not handguns and not allowed at 7 and 10 yards.

Rifle caliber handguns are not allowed at the 7 and 10 yard ranges. Only exception is .22, not .223.

They have added a broom and dustpan at all ranges to encourage people to clean up after themselves. I find a pooper scooper with rake makes it easier to pick up brass without bending over.

The RO was young, friendly, and polite.
