7 shot at Indiana nightclub; most victims stable

Police found four male and three female victims at Dirtty's Jazz and Blues Club. An eighth person hurt his leg while trying to get to safety.

Detective Sgt. William Fazekas described most victims in the Sunday morning shooting in the northern Indiana city as being in stable condition. However, he said one victim was taken to a Chicago hospital with more serious injuries.

One in custody, officers seeking another.

The parking lot was filled with half-empty beer bottles, broken glass, spilled food and stray cats early Sunday evening, as a television news crew from Chicago filed a live report from across the street. And they say journalism is dead. As far as "bullet-riddled" goes, Frank Hamer and company were definitely not responsible for that one.
