Hey all, I've had this pistol in my possession for a few years now but I still don't know all that I could about it and google isn't that big of a help. It's been passed down through the family for many generations and I'm postive that it's definitely not operational. It's functional and everything works from the trigger to the shell extractor but I know it couldn't handle a bullet. My question for this thread is can anyone give me any more history behind it. All I know is its a very early Stevens model .22 manufactured somewhere between 1866-1875 in Chicopee Falls, MA.

It's really neat! I know that. It looks to be the No 41 tip-up pistol, except Flayderman's says it has a 3 1/2" barrel, yours looks to be 6"? but the sights are different in the pictures maybe Stevens Six Inch Pocket Rifle?

I'll have to do some digging with the Steven's pocket pistol. That would make sense because my grandma told me it used to be called the Sunday Shooter because it was convenient enough to fit in your coat pocket on the way to church haha. You're about right on the guesstimate for the barrel length, it's close to six inches, I've never taken a tape measure to it so I'll have to check on that.
