    Emergency Preparedness and (sub)Urban Survival

    DESCRIPTION:

    This class will cover the what, when, how and where of Emergency Preparedness and survival. The WHO is YOU. Bugging out, bugging in, materials to assemble, basic survival skills and more will be discussed. Various strategies for survival kits, Bug Out Bags and storing of supplies at home is on the agenda. This class is the precursor to the scenario based over night training session to be offered this fall.

    This will be aother good class with Granger W. For those who don't know him, he's had a lot of survival training and experience applying the skills over signficant periods of time in Alaska. He's spend his whole like accumulating the knowledge and testing it, so he know what really works and what might not work so so well.

    From what obijohn posted in another forum:

    A word or two about the lead instructor, Granger Wilkins. Granger is a former instructor with World Survival Institute in Alaska. Their primary focus was teaching cold weather survival and medical skills to the special operations community. Granger has also worked as a hunting guide in Alaska and the Midwest. A bit unconventional, but that is one of the reasons he has been with ACT from the beginning.
