To be fair, I have only one AK, it does everything I want it to do and I like it. The great of my knowledge is from doing just this-reading opinions. It seems like the opinions move around the board every few years and the criteria change-some people like receiver thickness, some like tight tolerances, some like country of origin, etc.

I get the impression that William Trotter is blind. I'm not sure why but he just acts like it. Surely he isn't but I'm not really sure after watching this video.
Yes, Misha is blind. The wires do not connect fully even after dozens of operations as a youngster. His eyes are milky like the Engineer on Star Trek so he wears sunglasses. His grandfather apparently treated him as sighted and was the one that pressed guns into his hands.

He doesn't make a big deal of it. Remember he as first in the gun business as FAL builder in undergrad.

Now has a gun shop in Northern Arkansas. I find him to be the polestar of American small business (no one will hire me, I'll make my own job! Action, not pity). Here is an article from Arkansas media:

I've only had my one AK - an Egyptian Maadi MISR but after having INGO member vitamink install a Red Star adjustable trigger in it, I've been very happy with it. While not an AK, I also like my VZ2008 (Century's version of the VZ58). I got rid of the "beaver barf" furniture and side folding wire stock and replaced it with a Zahal polymer set of furniture though.
