This is mostly for the AK pros on the forum. I've had the itch to tinker with my Bulgarian AK74 lately. I keep thinking about shortening the barrel but to go along with this I want to move the gas block back, put on a shorter piston, and cut and thread the barrel behind the left behind gas port. (and file appropriate gov't forms before proceeding.) I guess my main question is if this is possible to do with the shorter gas tube and piston for a draco or krinkov? Is there a compatibility issue I'm not thinking of?

nope your logic is correct the only issue u might run into is you may have to re profile the barrel to fit your parts .... or you can buy a krinkov barrel or one of kvar's populated barrels.... but for a krinkov the best barrel in 8in is one of bluejacks barrels
