Even if the Palestinians magically re-took all of Israel, it would still be in constant conflict because, despite giving words of solidarity against a common enemy, most of the surrounding Arab Nations do not like the Palestinians. Israel would go from being an economic and technological power house to being reduced to nothing more than another Somalia. Not only that, but try visiting the Holy Land if Israel wasn't in control of the area.

I think that breaks down by adding the word “American” in my post. The Jews in Israel think differently. The American Jews have historically have been more afraid of the Christian right than their enemies that now reside in this country…

I'm not sure that makes total sense. Up until the last 20 years or so, if they were afraid of Christians there were plenty of what we'd probably consider reasonable Christians in the democrat party as the republican. Yeah, the Christian democrats supported unions, wanted more welfare, and a larger role of the state but they weren't akin to commies like they are now.

The "Christian right" is more of a latter quarter of the 20th century thing than it is long historical.
