    Thanks for the link, i'll have to read their new position paper. This stance is nothing new for the AAP or the AMA and has been their position for years. I actually just finished a manuscript for publication on gun safety and will likely submit to the journal of pediatrics, nice to know it'll be timely :): Why don't they talk about the research that shows that cops and medical workers (always loudmouths when it comes to guns) don't lock up their guns any better than anybody else.

    If either organization had their way, our kids would forced to wear protective gear to walk to the bathroom. Ball, bats, and any form of athletics would also be banned.

    EVERY time I take my kids to the doctor they always ask if tere are guns in the house. I don't know what their follow up questions are since I always say "no." I assume they would ask if the guns are locked up etc but something tells me they would report it somewhere.
