Evidently he was a singer, songwriter, veteran, woodworker, sportsman, gunsmith...
His estate sale was today, and I came away with a Tanfoglio Witness in 10 mm.
4-1/2" barrel and appears to have some type of compensator.
No mag, but those can be had.

Being a holiday weekend, I won't get my hands on this until next week, or maybe a little later.
Depends on how long it takes for the auction company to ship...

I have another Witness in .45acp, and it's a fine pistol.
Looking forward to trying out the 10mm version.

    Pics when I take possession.

    Update.
I found a link to search the serial number and found an interesting tidbit of information.

My Witness was imported on 7-2-2001
I won the auction on 7-2-2022
I won the auction exactly 21 years, to the DAY, after it was imported.

I also found the SKU number for the gun AND for the magazine that fits.

Something else I found out is the model.
According to the search sight, my Witness is a "CarryComp".
I assume the Comp means compact.
Can anyone verify that for me?

Nope. I just found a reference to the CarryComp designation and it means a compensated Carry model.
    Has a 1" factory compensator.
