    Would you rather:
    1.
Pay current (crazy) prices for 5 pmags
    or
    2. install 5 pivot pins in 5 AR15s.

For those of you who have never built an AR15:

For those that have (like myself): God bless you all.

Never again for me. PMAGS all the way.:twocents:

I don't find them that hard to install. I hold them down with an appropriate size punch and let the pin push the punch out of the way. (Similar to the video)

OTOH, I have only built a half dozen lowers, so I may be missing some of the fun.

    .
Pivot pins are a breeze. I use a round punch instead of the allen wrench. I also put a drop of oil in the groove after it's installed.

I must've gotten ripped off with my spring or something because mine was one of the worst gun experiences I have ever had.

    I nearly lost an eye!:n00b:

I threw up in my mouth a little bit as soon as I saw the Cheaper Than Dirt logo. Those folks have really rubbed me the wrong way with this second round of Obama panic pricing.

That said, great video. Took me 2 or 3 lowers to figure out how to put that front pin in with ease.

I thought the use of a slave pin would be obvious.
Don't need one, but it makes for a no hassle and fast job.

Definitely need a slave when putting H&R and similar type trigger/hammer groups in. There you make one just as wide as the assembly.
