    Good day,

I'm new to your board so I hope you don't mind me introducing myself to you in this way.

My partner and I are Emmy award winning producers from Northern California. Two years ago we started working on a film about street gangs invading rural California. Due to my repeated contact with gang members, it was recommend that I obtain a CCW permit - which I did. The process led to me learn about the backward gun laws of California compared to the rest of the Union. Through research I discovered that there has never been a positive documentary about the 2nd Amendment and gun ownership in America.

Assaulted: Civil Rights Under Fire will be such a film. Supported by the CalGuns Foundation and Second Amendment Foundation, this PTV/PBS documentary will look at how California is the front line in gun control battle. The film will look at the current assault weapon ban proposals in California and Washington, DC, as well as, CCW permitting across the USA.

Here are a few links to learn more about the film:

Welcome. I would look forward to a film like that. Sort of on the lines of "2016" as far as getting facts out. Although CA is very bad on 2A, don't overlook the peoples republik of IL and especially Crook (Cook) county, and the onerous gun laws promulgated by criminal socialist politicians. The country is ready for a communication of this type IMO.

I'm glad you're doing a documentary on CA vs. the 2A, and it's an honor to have you as a site member!
You might want to contact John Lott ("more guns less crime" and "the war on guns"), he's walked a similar path and did his documentary in print.
When do you plan to finish the documentary?:welcome:

Thank you for you efforts in reaching out to the public by working on this film. I am a Chicago transplant to Indiana and used to believe that any gun law that saves a life is worth having. I failed to realize the consequences and fallacies of my thinking.

Hopefully with your film, you can help change the public opinion, because if the majority public opinion isn't on our side, we lose. It's that plain and simple. More anti-gun politicians will be elected and more anti-gun laws will be passed.

Welcome and tagged for when I can view the trailer and listen to the interview.

Check out Appleseedinfo.org, Sir. I know some very avid shooters in the Inland Empire. Find the California State Board and contact Laylopro (screen name) or Rocketman (yes, he really is a rocket scientist). These two, I'm sure would love to help as well.

I work part time for a production team that is currently working on a documentary (among other things), so I know how massive these projects can become.

    Welcome and good luck!

Welcome to INGO! Sounds like your show will be a good one. Not trying to sound critical, but I doubt any of the clowns running Kalifornia will even give two craps about the facts you bring out in your show. Sad.:patriot:

Welcome to INGO and thank you for your efforts in educating Americans about gun ownership and the history of it here in America. It seems far to many people have forgotten or have become ignorant to the reason we all should have a firearm. I wish you good luck & I look forward to seeing your film!
