Another B.T.K. is finished. This one was a special order, so it's already sold, but you can see the WIP thread here: No. 59, B.T.K. WIP Thread.
This one was finished with OD G10 scales and wrapped in a kydex sheath.

Here is the knife that David Jesse of DJ II Knives left here for me to finish. He came down and spent the day learning how I make knives and left me a blank. I auctioned it off on his knife page and donated the money to him, so he could buy the tools and things new knife makers need to get started off right.

The first of the knives in D2. I've always been fond of my knives in this steel so I figured I would offer mine in it as well. This slicer has begun. No. 60, a slicer.

Tool making has been happening. Made a bending fork out 1" square stock. Drilled two set of holes 3/8 and 1/2 inch as those are the most common stocks I bend for now. It works pretty well and cost all of 8.00 in materials.

The pins can be removed which will allow me to replace them as needed or modify them to get a certain shape or radius bend. I'll probably add another hole at some point if I need.

The second tool this week was a punching plate. I was going to buy one at the cost of about 50.00. I looked for a few weeks for a good chunk of scrap flat stock to use, but nothing came up and buying a piece of mild stock at least 1/2" thick and large enough was not as cheap as I thought it would be. Also buying all the drill bits to make the hole sizes needed was going to make the 50.00 a deal. a 1 1/4" drill bit is expensive.

Not sure how the idea hit me but I found an old weight plate at a garage sale. The hole in the middle was about 1 1/4" so the largest hole was pre-drilled. The steel used for these is pretty soft, so using a hole saw to make the 1" and 3/4" was possible and I had those on hand already. Total cost... $1.00, for the plate.
