My search for the word "bacon" came up with 999 references so please don't fry me for posting a new bacon thread. I simply want to pass on some valuable info and really don't give a hoot if it's a duplicate.
If you're a bacon lover traveling west (say, to shoot prairie dogs in SD) on I-80 through Iowa, you must stop in either Davenport or Des Moines (or both) at The Iowa Machine Shed restaurant. I consider them like a Cracker Barrel on steroids. They have bacon-scented air fresheners for your car! Bacon-flavored suckers! Bacon tee-shirts. And, of course, bacon itself!
Side note: Approach the 1 lb cinnamon roll with caution! No, it ain't bacon but it is a monster.
