I use a cheap bag, with straps it wasn't made for guns, but it works. I have been doing some gun bag shopping and I wanted to hear what everyone carries to the range?

I don't see the need for something too crazy, just a bag. I never realized how many bags there were until last night.

Midway bag for a big and all-around good bag.

LAPG bail out bag for a small purpose-driven bag.

That is what I have experience with and what I recommend.

Why use a range bag rather than a simple duffle?

Because a dedicated range bag has purpose-built pockets and holders for shooting related items that allows you to organize and quickly access exactly what you're looking for.

A simple duffle would only allow you to throw everything into a single compartment. This can make it difficult to find what you're looking for, and it could possibly damage the contents.

Also, standard duffle bags are often less structured, making carrying heavy ammo difficult.

If you want to go first class with a large bag that can fulfill all you needs then get the Midway range bag, its the best. If you want something to just get minimal gear and a gun or two to the rang then the LAPG bag is the way to go. I own both but now that I have a Midway bag I use it almost exclusively.

I agree with everyones posts so far. Do a search for the Midway bag. You will not be disappointed. Its on sale quite often too.

There are even a few threads on here with reviews on the bag. It will fit everything you own in there! Sometimes I feel like Mary Poppins.
