When: Saturday August 6th 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

Round Count: 150-200 rounds

Basic pistol is for the new gun owner or the new shooter who is looking for top notch instruction that is value priced. There will be a two hour classroom session and a two hour live fire session to follow the classroom instruction. Topics addressed in this class will include: safe gun handling, storage, grip, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, table top pick ups, strong hand and weak hand shooting.

The shooter will need 200 rounds, eye and ear protection, magazines, gun, open mind.

Your spot in this class is not held until your payment and registration form is received. First come first served.

Rain will not be a problem for this course as the Warsw Rifle and Pistol Club has an indoor range if weather becomes damp.

This course is for the new shooter or gunowner and also for the perspective gun owner. We can provide several models of guns to try before you buy. A great place to start for kids and ladies. We do not do ladies only classes but many times half of this class are ladies.

You will get two hours of quality classroom instruction and then two hours on the range actually practicing what you have learned.

Plenty of posts on INGO for training for new shooters this class is the place to begin. We can loan some guns if you provide the factory ammo. Just make sure to let me know if you need a loaner when you email for registration forms.

Know of someone thinking about buying that first gun? Got a wife, girlfriend, boyfriend or sister looking to start shooting??? This is the place to begin. We have Glocks, XDm, M&P, 1911's all that can be tried before buying.

My son and I did this class with Coach and he had several different guns I could try. I was brand new to shooting. Having a safe environment and being able to work with multiple different styles of guns, in several different calibers was a great opportunity. I had a huge headstart to knowing what would fit my hands, and what kind of power I could handle.
I highly recommend this class to anyone looking to get started.

On average about half the class are ladies. I cannot promise this but many times this is the way it turns out. Do not hestitate to sign up it will be a good class and low pressure.

One advantage of this class is that it addresses the complicated issue of storage of guns in the house and car. If you have kids or perhaps will have kids in the home and are concerned about accidents and safety this class is great.

Another advantage this class has over many basic and intro courses is that it has a significant while not too large live fire session.

This course is ideal for those seeking a working knowledge of handguns.
