I picked up two Beretta 1935's cheap. One had no magazine but picked up one on eBay. One was military and the other was police. Both has holster wear but neither has been shot much. Shooting them along with my .32 Colt 1903 is more fun than an old man should have. Both have a little more felt recoil than the Colt. I could keep all rounds inside a 9" paper plate at 25 yards shooting as fast as I could. Slow fire the Colt would out shoot them anytime. Of the bench the Colt will do 3" and under with my 75 year old eyes and arms. The Beretta's both held under 5" but not by much. For the Beretta to be a quick action carry gun you would have to leave the safety off and the hammer back. The safety needs to be turned 180 to safe or fire. To carry the Model 1934 or Model 1935 for fast use the chamber would have to be empty and the safety off and the slide racked when gun was pulled. Don't know how the Italians carried it but bet it was hammer back and safety on in a flap holster.
