I would prefer brass. And why do you say good luck? I see it for sale all the time. I just want to know who has the best price.

I say good luck because everytime I see a sale price, they are always sold out when I attempt to order.

I did get some Wolf steel case 55gr from Copes Distributing for $115 shipped for 500, but don't know if they still have any.

    Ammunition To Go : 1000rds - .223 PMC Bronze 55gr. FMJ Ammo [PMC223A] - $364.95

Just google a few places to order from and check their pricing. Some places are on sale, others aren't. If you don't mind steel cases, TulAmmo is the cheapest you can get.

The PMC Bronze is good ammo.
I haven't had any of the Federal.

If you don't mind shooting steel case ammo look at the "Russian" ammo at Centerfire Systems which is Uly brand. I have went thru a bunch of it and it has been good ammo.

Good luck on finding it at a good price. Prices are really going up. Everyplace online that has good prices are out of stock. Hopefully I will be reloading soon.

    Check this site:

    http://gun-deals.com/ammo

    Select your caliber.
    Put in your zip code.
Click on the CPR (cost per round) header in the chart and get a list by price including shipping.
Check the sites for any coupons or upcharges (centerfire changes a % for credit card purchase and it's the only payment option on-line).

I have had great service and price from AIM Surplus and Military Shooters.
