Blackie Collins Smith & Wesson knife set in case.

Hello. A friend is offering to sell me a complete Blackie Collins S&W Survival series set of seven knives in the original display case made in the seventies, complete with sheathes and boxes. I am needing help finding a real value . He is thinking they are worth $2000.. Is that realistic ? I am not a knife collector but do like most things Smith & Wesson.
Any help would sure be appreciated. Thanks

Thank you for your reply. The set apparently has more value than I realized but the one at $1800. did not sell according to the add. I will see if I can whittle him down a little bit. Thanks

Blackie was a respectable knife maker.
Smith at that time were prettty respectable in what they had made to represent the brand. I have a few blackie Collins knives from his later partnership with gerber a couple diver knives and a dagger. They are pretty well made.
Collecting blackie stuff has a percentage upgrade for the whole set as they did sell these individual knifes also.

Looks like the average price of the knives individually is $200-$250
So $1400-1800 somewhere in there is probably pretty close
