What else is there? I would love to know what options there are. I used Birchwood Casey Super Blue 25 years ago on a Remington 1148, and it's held up well. But it's far from "super blue" not very much depth, and not very high end.
    Can you parkarize at home?

Lots of different options out there. I have heard lots of good about Brownells Oxpho-Blue, but have never tried it personally. My personal favorite is Tetra bluing paste, only because its a little easier to get consistent results as compared to Super blue.

The Birchwood-casey stuff is OK with much attention to surface preparation. Just has that weird fishy smell to it. I've heard and read good things about Oxpho-blue, but never tried it myself.

I can't remember the brand, but for small spots, there is a product that is basically a marker with bluing compound instead of ink. We used it on the receiver of a Mossberg that had some chips and dings, and it worked just fine. Wouldn't want to use it for large blemishes, but for little scratches it would work pretty well.

I did an old .410 with the Birchwood Casey Perma-Blue and was not happy with the results. I stripped, cleaned and reblued with Oxpho-Blue and like it a whole lot more. The Birchwood blue was not really a blue as much as a polished greyish that turned brown within a couple of months. The Oxpho-Blue has a deep blue that has held up very well in the 3 months since I did it.
