So as has become our monthly habit, INGOers esrice, troy_mp and I traveled down to Troy's family farm in southern Indiana to run some shooting drills. Weather was sunny and about 80, but with a persistent wind of about 20 MPH, with some VERY heavy gusts. This played havoc with setting up paper targets. First, our frames blew over. We weighted the bases, but then the backers blew off. We stapled the **** out of those, and finally the 1"x2" uprights snapped!

Fortunately, Troy and I had brought our Bobcat Steel 66% IPSC targets, which we mounted on 2x4s set into Bobcat's steel bases. Those had no problem staying up despite the wind, so we switched gears from shooting timed/scored courses of fire on paper, to practicing shooting on the move, reloads, transitions, multiple target engagement and other skills that could be done with a limited number of targets/target types, and a very productive day was had by all.

This experience moved us to borrow a page from Que's book...

That wind was BRUTAL! But it did keep us from sweating in the hot sun.

Bobcat Steel really saved our day, as it allowed us to switch up our plans and move ahead. Thanks Kimball!

    Rules? Prizes? Deadline?

Hope you are ruling for content, otherwise the Military Arms crew is just gonna waste us all with professional looks. Oh, wait, dang, they might win on content to...

OH, not much for the cam, but I got some Bobcat steel, AND WANT SOME MORE.

The "new product" really has my interest in both sizes. Must have two of each! Shoot one, while the other is rolling, visa versa.

Or have races....two shooters shooting side-by-side Walkers to see who can cross the finish line first!
