Bolt catch roll pin

My first lower assembly. Is it normal to look at this roll pin for the bold catch seriously wonder how heck it can possibly fit? I seriously wonder if this stupid thing is too big. Any encouraging words? I already put one scratch in my otherwise pristine lower.

Should be .093 Dia. about 3/32nds.

file one end to a slight taper so get it to start in easier.

So my lower has a built in trigger guard. I was looking at the wrong pin. At least I know I'm not crazy to think that one would never go in.
