my store was robbed at gunpoint tonight, I want to start wearing a vest. I have an old lvl 2 vest but its extremely old and beat to hell. It is completely legal for civilians to own and use body armor but ever since the Aurora incident all the online sellers are paranoid about selling the armor and require a letter stating that you are law enforcement or private security. I am looking for a LVL II or a LVL IIIa vest, something I can wear under a sweatshirt or loose button down shirt (like a bowling shirt) I am 5'10" with a 44" waist and a chest to go with it. I am hoping to find one at a reasonable price because while I know when its your life at stake no expense is too much if I can't afford to buy the vest then I wont be able to wear it and I have ZERO protection.
