A family member of mine bought a SIG P-226 stainless but someone "polished" the slide along with all the controls.

I went ahead and media blasted the barrel and controls to get it to a matte finish but when it came to the slide.....nothing was touching this thing.....so now we are both looking to what options are out there and get some opinions on where to go from here...

    Thanks in advance,
    Bowling_R.

What type of media did you use and at what psi? I like Cerakote. It's very durable and affordable, and not too difficult to apply. If no one in your area does it I will have some in three weeks. Most likely someone in your neck of the woods does it. They list certified applicators on their website.

I used Potters Ballotini Impact Beads they are fine glass media, and truthfully I have no idea at what pressure.. the barrel and controls turned out great, but now I have to find a way to get everything to match up.
I was looking for someone hopefully in Indiana that could do this.

Aluminum oxide grit at 90 to 100 psi will matte it nicely. As far as refinishing, sounds like some good shops in your area.
    Good luck.
